EL SHED

The Residency Program
Residencies at El Shed run from one to three months, offering a flexible timeframe to suit your project's needs. The program provides artists with a focused environment to produce new work, connect with our network, and share their practice with a wider audience.
In partnership with our affiliate, H.I SPACE, we provide the following for our resident artists:
Professional Curatorial Advice: One-on-one guidance on work selection, exhibition planning, and articulating the conceptual basis of your project.
A Culminating Event: The residency concludes with a public-facing event. This can take the form of a pop-up exhibition, an open studio, or an artist talk, tailored to the duration of the stay and the artist's goals.
Professional Documentation: High-quality photography and/or videography of your process and finished work.
Marketing & Promotion: Promotion of your work and final event across El Shed and HI SPACE platforms and networks.
Future Opportunities: Consideration for inclusion in future H.I SPACE exhibitions and art fair presentations.
While the space is private, artists are expected to be mindful of our residential setting, particularly regarding noise levels.
Collaboration & Documentation To support our mission and promote your work, our team will document your residency through photography and a brief interview. This content will be used for archival purposes and for marketing on our website, social media, and other platforms, providing you with additional visibility.
