Pausa Creativa is an art residency offering artists a dedicated space for creation and reflection in the nature-rich town of Casal de Ermio, Portugal.
Our residency is designed with flexibility in mind, accommodating a wide range of creative needs. We welcome artists who wish to:

Collaborate with other artists and curators to challenge their work or take it in a new direction.
Pausa Creativa is an initiative of H.I. Space gallery. This provides our residents with a unique transatlantic bridge; participants are given consideration for future programming at our gallery and our experimental art space, EL Shed, located in St. Louis, USA.
By being located in both Portugal and the United States, we offer artists invaluable connections and exhibition opportunities across two continents.
